Darkshore is an area in north-west Kalimdor a short distance from Teldrassil.
History
Darkshore, specifically Auberdine was historically known for it's fishing and traded it's fish with other coastal settlements very often via shipping lines running close to the shore.
In recent years, research showed that Darkshore has been gradually corrupted. The local Furbolgs have changed their once friendly demeanor to the point where it is impossible to communicate with them other way than violence. Such, and other changes prompted various parties to investigate, including the Cenarion Circle who swiftly sent the Darkshore Research and Purification Initiative when time was right.
After discovering the people of the Eastern Continent, Auberdine's position has drawn many adventurers from all over Azeroth.
