From Auberdine Community Wiki
The Fish Eye Tavern was an inn of Auberdine which also served as an important social hub and the dock loading depot.
History
When the village was first established, this building used to be a small shack that served as a warehouse for various goods such as fish, meat, building materials, weapons, armor and the like.
The building gradually grew to become a staging area and a place for hunters to rest after their treks. Not soon after, it became a full-fledged inn for adventurous elves, patrolling sentinels or priestess on a pilgrimage around the enchanted forests of Ashenvale. The docks are a recent addition to the building. At first, serving as an extension to the sea for the fishermen, turning into an important trade hub for ships sailing from Feathermoon Stronghold.
Nowadays, the building's very foundations were damaged by the upheaval. The upper section has fallen apart completely, smashing the resting quarters. After the shattering, the Fish Eye Tavern is but one of many sad reminders what has happened to Auberdine.
Past facilities
After joining the Alliance and establishing trade routes across the Great Sea, Fish Eye got branded as a "tavern" by other denizens of Azeroth. The inn was the most frequently visited social hub of all night elven settlements, mostly due to the fact Auberdine was the only connection to Northern Kalimdor from the Eastern Kingdoms.
With the increase of customers, the welfare of the building also received a significant improvement - the old, gray walls were covered with a rejuvenating salve, restoring their vibrant look. Many carvings were cut into the wood, representing elven huntresses and druids living in the wild groves. During the night, ornate moonglass lanterns were hung on the celling and above the entrances, illuminating the surroundings. Recently, the inn ordered new beds to replace the old and worn ones. A bookshelf filled to brim was added to the middle floor for outsiders to sit down and possibly familiarize themselves with the culture of the kaldorei.
