Basics

Iseri in her druidic garb.

Iseri is a member of the Darkshore Research and Purification Initiative under Dennet Moonsong. During her time in Auberdine she lived north of the town at a sea-side camp. Since then her location changed frequently.

History

Early life and studies

Iseri was the only daughter of a nomadic couple who acted on their behalf as independent researchers. Shortly after coming of age she had decided to leave and begin a research of her own into the world around her.

Her curiosity took her to Moonglade during the third war where she was briefly initiated and placed with Shan'do Darash as mentor who had grown weak in his illness. It was her first brushes with the druidic way of life and Darash's philosophy and interpretation of the world.

The war had soon ended and she found herself not willing to leave the war-torn Kalimdor and instead decided to choose to officially study the druidic way.

Some year or two later, along with her new owl companion Kelrin she was awarded the Staff of Creeping Vines from Shan'do Darash who by that time was completely bed-bound. It was given to her on the condition that her study does not stop there, but that she continues to explore the world.

Thus heeding her mentor's words, she set out to discover the world around her.

Exploring the world

Iseri took the next ship to the Eastern Continent, where she began exploring the wilds. With nothing but survival skills in the wild, Darnassian and two words in the Common tongue, she was best suited for adventures in the wild.

She found herself greatly amazed by what she saw. Long stretches of land, and such strange creatures. She came upon several short round-eared persons called "humans", and even shorter and rounder persons called "dwarves". Just when she thought she had seen everything, she came across even shorter persons with even rounder features called "gnomes". The creatures that most resembled herself, she found, was a breed of what looked like long-eared short humans with blue eyes. She however always complained that "they smell bad".

She soon picked up their language which did not take too long, though almost regretted it. Their uncultured manners showed. After a time though, she learned to deal with them and with the help of Jalali the gnome, she gained insight into their ways. This was soon followed by a decision to settle in a place no other than Stormwind.

For close to a year she stayed there, but decided she could not and so her travels continued, and her adventures became stranger and greater. A strange sense of purpose came with adventures.

Back to origins

Though there were things left unexplored, she felt that was enough for her, for now, and came back to her native Kalimdor seeking adventures "closer to home".

Soon she was asked by the Cenarion Circle to join the Darkshore Research and Purification Initiative under Dennet Moonsong.

Personality

Iseri believes in individualism to the very core. Never did she like being told what to do, and that showed. Many times was Dennet frustrated by this unruliness and as he would put it, carelessness.

On the other hand she is more than capable of making swift decisions and is willing to stick to them which has contrary to her will has made her into a successful leader on some occasions. She shuns this, and refuses to be recognized for such acts.

It seems she has a hard time understanding culture to begin with and somehow the druidic way of life simply fit. But nevertheless, her love for people and humanity is great.

Related Characters

Kelrin

Kelrin was Iseri's companion for several years following the Third War, until his eventual departure to live out on his own.

Kelrin is picky for an owl, accepting only specific foods and nothing else. Despite continued efforts, he would refuse small and weak-looking worms. This was most likely a behavior pattern cultivated by Iseri's sometimes excessive grooming.

Despite that, Kelrin appeared to be quite capable of being on his own.

Shan'do Darash

Iseri's mentor and teacher of many years in the ways of druidism, nature and life. Many of her disciplines are directly derived from his teachings if not just taken for granted such as Darash's idea of elemental existence in nature.

She visits Shan'do Darash in his residence in Moonglade to this day.
