Background
Early Life
Raeliah grew up not all too far from the current border between Darkshore and Ashenvale together with her older sister Xzantim. They both grew up without ever knowing their fathers, Xzantim's father left before she was even born while Raeliah's father died in a hunting accident, leaving their mother to care and tutor them from a young age as she was an Sentinel herself, it seemed like it would be rather obvious what way her two daughters were going.
While always remaining in the shadow of her older sister's success as a soldier.. A sentinel even. Raeliah tried to keep up but just didn't have the same agility or archery skills as her sister did, however, she did possess a greater skill in brute force and working in a melee range, especially in a chaotic battle.
At a very young age she went into Sentinel training. Which might have been because of the success her sister had already had at the time, and they thought it would be the same with Raeliah. However.. That was not the case.. Her sister left training early on, due to proving such remarkable skills that there wasn't much she could learn. Once again.. Raeliah was cast in the shadows behind her sister. She struggled on until finally passing the tests and officially becoming a Sentinel.
Near Present Time
The Third War
As the Third War was brought to[Kalimdor, Raeliah almost immediately stepped up to fight, she was severely wounded during the battle at Mount Hyjal, leaving her fighting for her own life as she got disoriented and seperated from her squad while she was trying to find somewhere or someone to help her. Just after the war she left her homelands, sailing east to the Eastern Kingdoms and started to take on mercenary work for a while before ending up in the Alliance Army.
Time in the Eastern Kindoms
As she arrived in the Eastern Kingdoms, she had problems learning the Common language, eventually she ended up working with a group of dwarves where she started to slowly learn the language, which might explain why she seems to be speaking similarities to the dwarven accent of the common language. As she was recruited into the Alliance Army she had to start wearing heavier armor than she was used to as she had been wearing the lighter, sentinel armor earlier. However, since she had her strength, this seemed to work out quite well, She was more protected, could use her raw strength to compensate for her lack in agility. She also seemed to find a liking for fighting with a shield in one hand, something that was rather common among elves.
Returning Home
After spending years in the Alliance Army and even fighting in the harsh conditions of Northrend she started to have some problems interacting with others. As she had rose in the ranks, leading a smaller squad in which the members were frequently replaced she seemed to have built up quite a temper which in the end leading to that she was what you could call "Fired". Furious at this act she left at once, but instead of taking the boat back to Stormwind, she headed home. Back to a place where she hadn't been for many years, Darkshore.
She walked the lands in the heavy armor which she had used in the later years of her time in the Alliance Army, She finally contacted the Sentinels, looking for work. As it happend, the town of Auberdine had started to spring more to life than before with a couple of Druids leading some kind of research project, a veteran of battle would suit quite well as the new Captain of the Sentinel force in the small town. Raeliah accepted the offer and took up the job. Not really knowing anyone around in the area as she walked in on the first day. Once again wearing the lighter Sentinel armor.
Time as Sentinel Captain
During the time Raeliah worked with the Sentinels as the Captain for the Sentinels in Darkshore she came across as a rather harsh, somewhat brute and lonely person. Spending most of her time on her own. Either standing just silent, watching out over the water at the Town Hall or simply walking around, sometimes disappearing for a day or two.
After a few months her disappearences became longer and longer, sometimes lasting for a week before she was seen again until she finally disappeared for a long time and the only signs of her were letters sent to the Sentinels in Auberdine, mostly filled with rambling about nothing or things that had already happend. Then suddenly, the letters just stopped and after a while rumours were spread that she had gone missing in action or that she had possibly died.
Reappearance
From time to time, reports were coming in about a heavily armored and weaponed Kaldorei were travelling the lands of Kalimdor, being spotted everywhere, Silithus, Feralas, Ashenvale, Darkshore, all the areas where there were Cenarion or Kaldorei settlements, at the few times she approached them just to trade, she kept her face masked or hidden in a heavy helmet.
There were no evidence that this Elf was Raeliah until one night when the Sentinels of Darkshore were called down to Nijel's Point. The Kaldorei Warrior was spotted up on a hill, watching the ongoing battle on the road beneath before she used the shield she was carrying to slide down the mountain, down on the road and join the battle, Turning the tides of the battle completely. However this Kaldorei was fighting rather disoriented, even attacking some of the other elves aswell as the Cultists.
After the battle. The warrior stood down in the hill, just staring out over the land until she was approached by the Sentinel Leader who then found out that this Warrior was in fact the Captain she had earlier served under.
At this time, no one knows where Raeliah can be found, She might be wandering across the lands of Kalimdor or even dead.
Personality
Raeliah has always been a lonely person. Spending a lot of her time on her own and when interacting with other beings she is direct about what she has to say or what she wants to know.
She tends to be a rather harsh person when it comes to bringing out information that might be vital to her work, threats are nothing all too uncommon if she gets irritated enough at someone.
Although her rather unusual method, she believes in strong discipline when it comes to her Soldiers that are working under her. When casual chattering happends around her, she tends to turn her head away and look out over the horizon instead of engaging in the conversation, herself.
