A druid of average skill and dedication is capable of altering the world around him to a certain degree. It might sound absurd at first, but we are yet to realize how strong is our connection to Nature itself. Below I'd like to explain how can one prepare a ritual to alter the weather conditions around oneself.
First, we need to gather a number of items of value. Those differ depending on what aspect of nature you wish to change. However, there are a few guidelines in what one should seek.
There was a huge section regarding shaping waters, soil and even the trees and grass. I just rewrote the part of most interest to us - sky and weather.
- A feather of an avian bird. (The bird must be able to fly, so striders and other earthbound entities are out of the question!)
- A sample of soil on which the ritual shall take place.
- A few piece of local plants that will be affected. It can be anything as a leaf, an acron or a whole branch.
- A gust of wind from the higher areas one wishes to change. You can ask any brother talon for that, they're the most frequent flyers... they're the only flyers.
You might also want to take some time and gather reagents from other aspects to help stabilize your ritual.
Remember that even with a perfect set of reagents, the spell will still fail if one lacks even one of the following:
- A holy idol. This can be anything with at least some faith stored in it. Most usual ones are either Cenarius wood-crawings or one of the Crescent Moons the Sisters are not-so-willing-to-lend.
- Strong will. If anyone participating in the ritual looses focus, consequences can be dire indeed.
Lastly, remember that there must be at least 6 druids casting the spell. Those must be of sufficent power - average is enough for local weather change, for stronger rituals, a druid must be of venerable experience. The druids must inscribe a druidic glyph on the ground and remain in it for the whole time durning the channeling. 'Below is a drawing of the glyph, it looks similar to a crescent moon with something antler-like inside the middle' The reagents should be placed in a star-shaped pattern around the holy relic that will act as a conduit for one's powers. For best quality, it is suggest that there be a single druid nearer to the relic weaving the energies in a focused manner.
Next there's a lot of rambling about how dire the consequences can be and a few examples of such given. Apparently, a youngling tried making his grove sunny and in the end got his skin incarnated. Poor sap. I guess it's the most things we need. I'll keep searching, but I doubt I will find anything more. Umber isin't much of a help either. Damn slacker, if he's so sure everybody knows where to look for things, why does he even spend his time in the archives?! Oh, and before you ask, the recipe was written by someone called "Uilthem Ban'Ethil'. This document is very old at least, so some information is out-dated.
